Griffin Carter Crowley lost his life on 5/20/2023, only 51 short days after he was born. He was found unresponsive in his car seat after a short drive; CPR was administered, he was airlifted to Yale, but his brain damage was too severe to save him. We later learned that Griffin had a cyst on the back of his tongue that, along with two respiratory viruses at once, closed his airway.
Losing a child is incredibly isolating, and the grief that accompanies it is monumental. Though we are still newly walking this road, we are determined to help others grieve as easily as possible.
To celebrate Griffin’s life, we are raising funds to support access to educational materials and resources for bereaved parents, including subsidizing the cost of an additional grief counselor for the First Candle hotline and expenses associated with the First Candle bereavement conference. We hope you will help join us in honoring Griffin’s memory by ensuring others have the support to grieve that they need.
